ECN, Europe’s leading workplace communication specialist is proud to announce it has now connected over 100 locations in Germany.

ECN’s rapidly expanding Digital Out of Home (DOOH) network demonstrates that digital workplace media content is in high demand in German workplaces.

Less than 3 months ago, ECN announced it had connected the 75th German office building to its digital screen content network.  This important milestone of 100 buildings has been reached in under 3 years.

ECN’s DOOH workplace media network now reaches more than 200,000 German professionals per week with its digital content broadcast in Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin and Stuttgart.

In Frankfurt, over 25 office buildings have connected to ECN, including the Eurotheum – a landmark building in the banking district of Frankfurt.  The Eurotheum provides a workspace of more than 21,000 sqm and was fully refurbished in 2017. During this refurbishment ECN installed 4 digital screens, which as an addition provide free Wi-Fi in the lobby area.

Adrienn Erdélyi, Head Project Manager Eurotheum at Commerz Real, comments: “ECN’s managed content solution was an innovative addition to our lobby refurbishment, enabling us to communicate with our tenants and visitors in real time. The screens integrated seamlessly into our new lobby which makes us very happy, and the positive feedback from our tenants confirms it was a good decision to add the digital platform.”.

In recent months, ECN has experienced strong demand in Munich, with 26 locations now connected.  ECN’s first installation in Munich was Kustermann Park in 2016 – a 80,000 sqm large office complex comprising 7 office buildings. This real estate provides numerous additional benefits to tenants and visitors, e.g. Café/Bar, Casino, parking lot and childcare facilities.

In Dusseldorf, 22 workplaces have connected to ECN including KennedyHaus – an award-winning building (Deutscher Architekturpreis in 2005) with its 12,000 sqm large workspace and its architectural benefits.

Frank Sieber from Aberdeen Asset Management says: “The KennedyHaus is a first-class office property and the installation of ECN’s digital office network in the lobby area of this premium building is not only geared to the high-quality architectural interiors of the KennedyHaus, but also means we can communicate in new ways with tenants and visitors of the building.”.

Another 21 office buildings have connected to ECN in Hamburg, including Atlantic Haus – another landmark building with its status of being the tallest building of the Hamburg skyline. Another workplace where our digital screens can add value to the newly refurbished lobby area.

“Digital workplace media is seen to enhance the workplace experience in the German office real estate market. Asset owners are delighted to provide infotainment to tenants and visitors with the help of our smart solutions. ECN is excited to see where this development will lead us in 2019.”, said Christian Praulich, Director Real Estate at ECN Germany.

For asset owners/managers, ECN’s solutions do not require any continuous investment or on-going cost. ECN provides fully managed customer solution which include the latest local news, internal building announcements and even assistance in marketing, self-branding and creative solutions.
